# Flows Overview

Flows are the automation side of FlowGenie: visual functions with typed inputs and outputs, variables for state, reusable sub-flows, and a library of nodes that cover logic, scheduling, AI, and documentation.

You can use flows to create daily updates, connect multiple systems, or just do one-off tests.

Most no-code workflow builders aren’t really no-code, and require a lot of code or configuration. But with FlowGenie, the flow is the code, which allows you to truely represent your logic visually.
